In an excellent turnout, over 500 delegates attended the fourth IP Business Congress (IPBC) held at the Palace Hotel, San Francisco from 19th to 21st June 2011.

These included chief intellectual property officers (CIPOs) and senior representatives from IP-owning companies, law firms, consultancies, accountancy firms and other IP stakeholders from both the United States and around the world. The quality of both the sessions and the conversations on the fringe was of the highest order, as IP thought leaders offered their views on a broad spectrum of vital topics, including how to align intellectual property with business strategy, how intellectual property can be managed during the economic downturn and the rise of the role of the CIPO, among many others.

An extensive review of the event will be published in the next issue of Intellectual Asset Management magazine, organiser of the IPBC. In the meantime, you can read Chairman Joff Wild's blog summary.

Delegates are invited to download the IPBC 2011 speakers' papers and presentations and also complete the IPBC 2011 delegate survey.
